F.A.Q.Embsmith provides professional and friendly digitizing service. Working with us is easy, risk free and a pleasant experience.
1. What is myEMB? Do you charge for it?
myEMB Manager is your online digitizing database. It stores all your quote jobs as well as Order jobs. All information related to a particular job is stored there and only you can retrive it. It is password protected and available online 24x7. Best of all, it is FREE!
2. How to request for stitch count?
If you have signed up myEMB, there is a link at myEMB Manager to do just that. It asks all the pertinent questions needed for a stitch count(quote job). This will allow for an accurate quote, and it reduces the need to contact you for the same questions. The result? fast response, accurate quote and valueable information for future reference.
3. Is myEMB the only method to request for quote?
Certainly not. We can begin a quote by email, phone or fax. myEMB, however, is the most advanced and automated method for us to serve you more efficiently.
4. How long will it take to get a quote returned?
Normally a price estimate will take a day from the time we receive your request. Our estimate includes both cost for digitizing and approximate stitch count.
5. How can I expect to receive the quote?
We normally email it to you at the email address you have told us when you sign up our services. If you do not have an email address, or prefer other means of communications, please specify and we will do it accordingly.
6. What form of art do you prefer?
In order to provide the best quality embroidery design possible, vector file is the choice of art format. Different from raster file, vector file provides the cleanest outlines. We accept Adobe Illustrator (.AI), Corel Draw (.CDR), or AutoCad (.DXF). Please convert all text to curves because we don't have every font available installed. If a vector file isn't available, than .JPG, .GIF, .BMP or .TIF will work.
7. Why do you charge per thousand stitches?
The price per thousand stitches has been a standard in the embroidery industry. Although some people charge per complexity, we believe that charge by thousand stitches is to the best interest of our customers. It's in line with the actual cost of embroidery as well as very close to the cost of digitizing job.
8. Does Embsmith have an embroidery operations?
No, We do not compete with our customers and digitizing is our only business.
